As a writing and creativity coach, I am equal parts writing teacher, editor spiritual literary guide, and ideas/art/memoir/book proposal midwife.

As the daughter of artists (furniture makers and photographer), my life has been a consideration of creativity. I have been pleasurably meditating what makes a compelling story for as long as I can remember.

 

I have been lucky enough to write about arts, fashion, and culture as a reporter in New York and London. I also had the admirable task of reading-as-work to curate a New Orleans literary festival. I currently write about books for Electric Literature and others. 

As a graduate of the Book Seminar taught by Sam Friedman at Columbia Journalism School, I am especially strong at helping with memoirs and non-fiction book proposals. I also help fiction writers and visual artists with their creative processes.

Through our work together, my clients have published work in the pages of the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and literary journals such as Astra Magazine and others, completed their book proposals, signed with their dream agents, and began or reignited their creative practice!
